Tintoretto was capable of noble sentiments that he translated into vivid colors and perspectives bordering on the bold… Lights and contrasts, and Pindaric flights. Superman-like bodies, portrayed in the strangest positions, but always with a scientific realism and Michelangelo-like power. How could he be so precise? We will reveal it to you during this tour!

A pupil and rival of the Great Titian, of rustic, mountainous temperament, and of great culture and business finesse, Tintoretto had to build a network of friends and collaborators to help him make his way. His most trusted collaborator? His favorite daughter Marietta, who followed him everywhere, even at the cost of disguising herself as a store boy!

As chance would have it, his atelier and many of his paintings are located in the city’s most picturesque and pristine sestiere: Cannaregio.
