Hi. I’m Manuel, I have a training in architecture, and besides being a tour guide in and around Venice I have a parallel life as a communication designer. But I am also A historical research enthusiast. What does that mean?
When I am not with you, telling you about the Veneto and its beauties, or sitting at my desk, creating visual identities for brands and companies (do you like the one from Go Guide?), you can find me in the Historical Archives, among parchments and ancient maps, looking for new pieces for the history of Venice and its territory.
Thus, I often come across untold stories that have the ability to reveal, behind the architecture, the truly lived life, often more intense and entertaining than the legends! My research has also led to theatrical performances, and my tours in Venice and the Veneto region, among art cities, villas, castles and breathtaking landscapes, are walks through history and the private lives of flesh-and-blood (mostly flesh) men and women, such as those in Libertine Venice.
But they are also a challenge: to decipher the beauty that surrounds us, be it the form of a city, a building, an object or – why not? – of a taste-perhaps that of a typical dish or a great glass of wine!
