Hi, my name is Isabella and I welcome you to my Go Guide page! I was born in Padua but for more than thirty years I have lived in the historic center of Venice, right between St. Mark’s Square and the famous Rialto Bridge. In 1993 I graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature from Ca’ Foscari University.

Before coming to tourism, I worked as a clerk in the city’s museum bookstores and worked for several years with the Autonomous Board La Biennale di Venezia at the Accreditation Office of the Venice Film Festival. I have also gained good experience in teaching in professional pre and post graduate courses. I am an outgoing and dynamic person who loves her work very much.

I got into the tourism industry in 1997, almost by accident. The Port was coping with the cruise boom, and local agencies were looking for hostesses and staff for shore services and tours. For a decade or so I worked almost exclusively for cruise ships, while the fall was always the season devoted to conventions and incentive travel, with American companies bringing groups too large for downtown accommodations. During those years I acquired the professionalism or, to put it in English, the “know how,” which I still apply to my work as a guide. Timing management for example, knowing how to relate to different target audiences (adults, children, the elderly or people with disabilities) and a sense of practicality, which in a particular city like Venice, cannot be lacking.

About ten years ago I decided to cater to a private clientele, preferring small independent groups and families, to whom I can devote myself in a more relaxed and personal way. I love good food and shopping at local craft stores.

So I am waiting for you to see a different Venice or to see Venice in a different way: a wonderful city that never ceases to enchant! Get inspired by my proposals.
